Federigo welcomes Monna Giovanna into his house, but soon he becomes anxious when he realizes that he has nothing to feed her for dinner. To make a good impression, he orders the falcon killed and roasted for dinner.

After dinner, Monna Giovanna begs Federigo to give her the falcon, whereupon he becomes inconsolable and bursts into tears because he cannot comply with her request. Sadly, the son passes away, and Monna Giovanna is required to remarry. She declares that she will have no one but Federigo, and together with her riches and Federigo's newfound sense, they live happily for the rest of their days.

In regards to what I have said, high school and college may seem very similar, but in fact, they are surprisingly different in ways including: studying, seriousness toward success, and technologies. I gradually decrypted the requirements to be successful in regular classes, and after adapting, I soon found myself moving into honors.

In four years I went from a struggling freshman the school considered holding me back a year , to excelling in Advanced Placement classes my senior year. I felt disappointed in spite of my success; while a lot of my friends were satisfied with a high school diploma, I was upset I did not receive the yellow ribbon that signified graduating with above a 3. My fellow honor students were all accepted to excellent four year universities, yet I was left with very few options.

Again, I chose the more challenging path, and began at the nearby junior college which allowed me to transfer into a four year that would be otherwise…. My parents were disappointed in me this was one of the things that helped me change. My summer after my sophomore year something happened that changed my mindset.

By graduating I can ensure that if I ever want to go to college I can. My junior year I put my mind to get better grades and pass. In high school the words time management are repeated but never really explains. I grew up hating the simple idea of time management, but I have since learned that is means balance. It is easy to think of staying in and doing nothing but studies, but true time management is the balancing the responsibilities you must complete and the things you want to do.

I knew that was unacceptable of fear taking over my grades. I went to talk with my advisor and asked her for help and she helped me develop strategies that will help me become successful in my life.

After this experience, I was not afraid to ask anyone for help and I know that in college many students struggle with their academics and a way that I can…. I am sorry if this essay is late, I have been preparing to move. This year a lot has changed for me and my eyes have really began to open to the world around me. I have made many mistakes , but I have also overcame tough times? My experience at Churchland has shaped me into a better person each year that I have attended this school. Freshman year was one of my lowest years, and each year that I excelled, I felt that outside forces made the journey harder than what it had to be.

However, I still remain focused on my goals for senior year ; my main one being to make it into the first college program , to gain an experience of what college could be like ,and to become a better student. Here in college I process and understand material in class and while studying but the outcome continues to be the opposite when I get my exam scores back.

I consider myself a part of the first generation students who hang by a thread every semester because of the mistakes made their first year. Discouragement still sneaks up on me, so I constantly have to remind myself that the goals that are still achievable are graduating and eventually prevent first generations college students to descend into my regrets from my freshman….

During my freshman year, I was chosen to be both a math and a Spanish prefect. It was expressed to us by our NJHS adviser that it would have been better if we were elected, considering we did the jobs despite not being chosen for them. We have also agreed to help with NJHS next year, with the goal of implementing a better system for peer tutoring that holds people accountable for their actions.
